Thanks for stopping by the website. We're looking forward to seeing you!
They met almost 10 years ago through a mutual friend in high school choir class. Megan was a Junior and Vince was a Senior. She was drawn to his humorous charm and funky fashion choices. He was enamored with her honey sweet voice and shockingly purple hair. They made it official on October 16, 2015 after months of flirting and teasing; Megan would often "borrow" Vince's hat during passing periods, and Vince would hide jokes and puns on sticky notes for her to find in her books later.
They quickly became inseparable, but the call of college drew Vince to UC Irvine, and they decided to date long distance. After many late-night video calls, virtual dates, and short weekends together between classes, Vince graduated during the pandemic and moved back home where they were reunited.
Since then, Megan and Vince have moved closer to San Diego with their rescue dog, Rose (but she is definitely the one who rescued them). Some of their favorite things to do include going to the local San Diego Zoo and Safari Parks, taking Rose on outings for pup cups, and trying exciting new places to eat. Most importantly, they value spending quality time with friends, family and each other.
Vince and Megan had talked many times about getting married and when he would propose. They had been together since high school, after all! She tried dropping hints with ideas for how, where and when he could pop the question (because what girl doesn't dream of how her proposal will go?). However, Vince had a plan in mind already that he knew would be absolutely perfect.
The location that Vince chose was the Safari Park, which if you recall is one of their favorite places to go together, and it is also where their first prom was held! They had decided to go on September 30th to celebrate Megan's birthday, which happened to be a Monday. On weekdays, the park stays pretty quiet, which gave Vince the ideal setting to find a private and secluded area at any point during the day. Despite this, Vince was anxious to ask and tried to keep his cool; Megan suspected nothing from this 'typical' zoo day.
They spent the day walking around and hitting all of their favorite spots, grabbing some fun snacks and taking some breaks to talk about how happy they were to be there with each other. While they were sitting looking out over the lagoon, dressed in their favorite zoo attire (matching frog hats and crocs), Vince told Megan that he wanted to take a short video of them to get a new screensaver for his phone. The best part is that he recorded from our most flattering angle! She had no idea what was about to happen.
